We saw this last year in NYC (husband and I along with 27 yo son). I did much research before choosing Beautiful. The reviews were all 5*. People who saw multiple plays during their nyc visit loved this best. Her story is fascinating and the songs/music are fabulous. Hadn't realized that she and her husband wrote many songs sung by Motown bands, etc., and loved that these groups were part of the play. At one point I became so enthusiastic I wanted to start clapping to the music! I loved it so much I was tempted to go back to New York just to see it again - so glad it's coming to the Burgh!

This show brought back so many memories of my youthful days. Enjoyed it immensely from the beginning to the end. So much enthusiasm and energy on stage from all of the actors. Brought two 20 + year olds with us to watch it (there were 14 of us) and they enjoyed it immensely as well. A must see musical!

Saw this yesterday at the Fisher Theatre with my 22 year old daughter. She enjoyed it as much as I did and was surprised by how much of the music she recognized. She even commented that she would love to see it again and put it to the top of her list of favourites.

I laughed, I cried and I fell in love all over again. I didn’t know her story but I had always loved the music and now I know why. It came from her soul. Don’t miss this treasure of music you never knew the back story to. Don’t debate just go.

Just a question: do you think the show would be inappropriate for a 8 year old? Anyone who has see it please respond. Thank you.

Having grown up with this wonderful music, it was a fascinating experience to relive the times. Wonderful cast and production crew really take you back. We enjoyed meeting friends before the show at Bird Cafe just across from the Hall. Go! Enjoy!

It's tomorrow and I STILL love you! Thank you, Carole King, for your inspiring story! Thank you to the amazing cast who brought it to life ! Like so many others, I didn't want it to end! So many magnificent songs and memories... awesome production!

I remember Carole King's Tapestry album from my high-school days. It isthe soundtrack to many of my memories of the time. I had no idea though of the prolific talent of Carole King - writing songs for the Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Aretha Franklin and others BEFORE embarking on her own career as a performer. The show cleverly weaves her emergence as a writer and, later, as a performer with exceptional engagement across changing tastes in music and her own growth and challenges with a difficult marriage. At times I laughed, at times I had tears in my eyes but I enjoyed this show like no other. It was Beautiful!!

"Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" at the Marriott Theatre is a masterclass in musical theatre. It brilliantly intertwines Carole King's compelling life story with her iconic music, delivered by a stellar cast whose performances are as authentic as they are powerful. The production quality, from the set design to the period-perfect costumes, immerses the audience in the era. More than just entertainment, it's an emotional journey that celebrates King's legacy, leaving a profound impact on its audience. This show is a standout, not just for King's fans but for anyone who appreciates exceptional storytelling and music.

First time to the Incline Theatre. 5 stars because of the following. 1 star for The view and location which is very impressive. We brought a 13 yr old young man and he made the effort to cross the street to snap pics of Downtown Cincy. Parked on the second level of the parking garage. Arrived shortly after 7 and there we a handful of spaces available. Purchased tickets via phone and Will call was easy and avoid fees and they sent a reminder with suggestions on parking and eating which gets 1 star. Concessions reasonably priced and available 1 star. Seats of theatre were spacious and comfortable. Another star to the cast and crew. The actress that played Carole had an amazing range and was very believable in the role. Another star for the story itself. It keeps you engaged and lets you in on how the music industry worked in the 60s and 70s.

4.0 star rating Susan Howard from Tucson, Arizona

Understandably this is not the NYC Broadway production. This is what someone kept reminding me of after seeing the local performance. While the spirit of the play and story were flawless and inspiring, many of the singers lacked the presence, neatness, appearance, and talent to be used in this or any play.

FLAWLESS Inspiring remarkable

What a remarkable, NATURAL WOMAN! Totally inspiring.

In 2018, we are not surprised by the teenyboppers moving through the music industry at a rapid rate producing hit songs, and then disappearing from the limelight almost as quickly as they shot to fame. However, in the late 1950s, it was certainly a surpr
