WHY ALL THE COVERS
I love Mayday Parade music, and to be honest I was supremely disappointed with the concert tonight. There's no reason that a band as established and with as large of a fan base as Mayday has should be playing covers for over half of their concert. Yes, it appeases the casual fans who don't know your band, but I didn't pay to hear covers of songs that any cover band could play. I came to hear your band, play your songs, and honestly feel a bit betrayed that less than half of the set list was original. I love your music, your live presence, and your overall vibe, but you're way past the point of having to cover other artists to keep audiences engaged. You could even see the crowd light up when you played the first original after playing 3 covers in a row. No one comes to a Mayday concert to hear covers, and I'm just sad that I spent the night listening to other band's music.
