There's nothing like some holiday pops to get you in the festive mood! As much a part of the Christmas celebrations as all those Nutcrackers and Christmas Carols, Holiday Pops sees your city's orchestra bringing the holiday cheer for a Christmas extravaganza with a mix of popular standards, film scores, carols and hymns.
The highlight of the Phoenix Ballet's winter season, the critically acclaimed Nutcracker promises a spirit-lifting, festive evening of enchanting dance and soaring music. The ensemble's artistic director Slawomir Wozniak breathes new life into the Yuletide favorite with inventive, exuberant, and often acrobatic choreography that injects a sense of fun and a sprinkling of light-hearted humor into the widely-performed ballet, striking a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
The Nutcracker is one of the country's favorite Christmas events, and one of the most performed ballets in the world! This magical story of dancing toys and a Nutcracker prince is paired perfectly with Tchaikovsky's beautiful score. An annual Nutcracker performance by your local ballet company is the perfect way to welcome in Christmas with the whole family!
All of popular culture's most beloved fairytale characters are brought together in this dark twisted fantasy from James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim. Debuting on Broadway in 1987, this Tony Award-winning ensemble piece stitches together figures from Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk as they explore their hopes and wishes in the confines of the mysterious forest.
Join Dorothy, Toto and their three distinct guides as they head down the yellow brick road on an exciting adventure to the wonderful world of Oz. Along with a rag-tag bunch of misfits, Dorothy learns about love, bravery, and the true meaning of home in this local production perfect for the whole family!
The mean streets of Charles Dickens' London come to you in this production of Lionel Bart's much-loved Oliver! When young Oliver Twist finds himself orphaned in Victorian England, he's left trying to find friends, find a family, and navigate life in the big city, which is filled with pickpockets, gangsters, and danger.
