3rd Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival

3rd Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival at Herberger Theater Center

Why see 3rd Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival?

Celebrating Tradition!

Passion, color and tradition combine in the 3rd Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival! Grammy-winning mariachi group Los Camperos shine at this year's festival, while complementing the group are the dancers of Ballet Folklrico Quetzalli-AZ, who fill the stage with dazzling traditional choreography and a beautiful color palette to match!

Long hailed as 'the sound of Mexico', Mariachi is a cornerstone of the country's musical heritage. Originating hundreds of years ago from the state of Jalisco near Guadalajara, as well as the surrounding states of Western Mexico, it is truly the music of the people, celebrating their joys, struggles and triumphs. Folklrico, a traditional dance form that varies by region, uses intricate footwork, flowing skirts and vibrant costumes to bring Mexican history and folklore to life.
