First forming in 1981, Jose Hernandez's touring band of talented musicians have taken the world by storm. Not only do they have TWO Grammy-nominated albums, but the group has also toured across the globe, including being the first to perform in Beijing and Pyongyang. This group is not just a trailblazer for the genre, but is also one for the Mexican history books, with leader and founder Hernandez being the fifth generation of Mariachi masters!

About Jose Hernandez

Hernandez is a true ambassador of mariachi, pushing the boundaries of the genre while preserving its rich traditions. He is the founder of both Mariachi Sol de Mxico and Reyna de Los Angeles, America's first all-female professional mariachi ensemble and has composed, arranged, and provided music for 15 Sol De Mxico albums and has collaborated with industry legends like Selena, Vicente Fernandez, and Luis Miguel.
