Babs' Basement
Fresh off its best-selling run off-Broadway, this extremely funny one-man play sees struggling actor Alex Moore take up a rather unusual job in the basement of one of the best-selling music stars ever. What follows is a wickedly humorous look into the price of fame, and what people do to maintain it.
Struggling actor Alex finds himself the dream job - or so he thinks. Arriving at the home of a certain real-life singing superstar, he discovers that his job is manning a miniature mall installed in the diva's basement. It is Alex's responsibility to manage the shops in case she comes in one day for a visit - and when that day comes, expect fireworks! Will his dreams of fame and fortune come to realisation? Or will their striking rapport end the moment she goes back upstairs?
The Off-Broadway run starred Ugly Betty star Michael Urie as the starstruck Alex, and received critical acclaim for the role. The show is due to tour the country, but please be aware that this production is not part of the tour.
